Recently news was dropped that a reboot of the 1981 horror/comedy classic An American Werewolf In London was going to be rebooted. Oh, don't worry, it's not like it will be rebooted by some new upcoming unknown filmmaker, or by anyone who is known for making bigger budget movies, not even by anyone known in the horror cinema circuit! Nope, it will not only be not only directed, but written by non other than Max Landis

The idea for VF originated from one of my other project actor’s story. From him I found out that it’s usually difficult for actors to get a good role without having a sufficient amount of followers. This led me to thinking about the importance of vanity in modern society. Then I kept developing the idea of how the passion for vanity can lead to unexpected consequences.

I was always fascinated when you'd see news reports of a man coming home, killing his entire family and himself, and the neighbors saying to reporters "but they'd just come back from vacation! We're shocked, they were the happiest family we know!" - so I thought 'how does this happen?' And the answer is because normal every day people cover up stresses and strains of real life without every talking or dealing with it most of the time and its literally killing us!

In horror cinema, body horror has always been a sub-genre that has caught the fascination of many a very specific demographic of people. Let's face it, it's not for everyone. However, if done well, a character's conflicted relationship with their own body shown in the most grotesquely of ways can be compelling, provoke self analysis, and even cause some discussion.

Filmmaker Mike Flanagan continues on with his reign of delivering horror films that not only actually scares it's viewers; but builds tension, and has heart. In complete contrast from the first Ouija movie, which came off as your run of the mill teen supernatural horror flick, and don't get me wrong, has its fan base; but this one had a story about family, and did have a lot of heart to it.

I grew up in this industry with both of my parents being actors. I loved it from an early age because it's where I would spend time on set with them and where I was comfortable.
