Admit it, if you're reading this, you really enjoy zombie movies...and Simon Pegg! If you haven't seen this fun, undead romp us ride, you're in for a real treat! With cool looking zombies and a side order of snappy humor to go with it, Shaun Of The Dead is the first in the line of the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost/Edgar Wright trilogy, what's come to be known as The Cornetto Trilogy.
With the next two movies to follow being Hot Fuzz and The World's End, Shaun Of The Dead is a self-referential zombie movie that brings attention to past like-minded flicks that have paved the way for this specific genre, chalked full of quick witted tongue & cheek jokes and nods to previous films including George Romero's 1968 ever-iconic Night Of The Living Dead.
But this isn't no Walking Dead - The pacing in this movie will make your head spin, do double takes and even make you rewind it back to catch things you might have missed. Between it's fast paced dialogue and mile-a-minute editing, you will definitely want to pay attention!
But perhaps that is the genius of Edgar Wright's film making, even if you do miss something, you'll continue to watch the movie over and over if necessary! If nothing else, to be simply entertained! And if you don't want to be in it for the horror, you'll be reeled in by the comedy - That's a guarantee!
